• Chelsea Square, NY, NY
Explore the intricate architectural elements of Allison and Nick’s timeless wedding held at Chelsea Square, once affiliated with the Highline Hotel. The venue’s opulent features served as the inspiration for a delicate arrangement of seasonal white flowers, reminiscent of a blossoming French meadow.
THE VISION
In contrast to Chelsea Square’s intricate details, Allison envisioned wedding flowers that emanated simplicity. While wedding flowers are inherently complex, our approach to her vision involved a commitment to working with seasonal availability, emphasizing flowers with distinctive shapes in an opulent white palette, ensuring each flower held meaningful symbolism - a creative exploration in defining minimalism in an impactful way.

THE ENTRYWAY
Whimsical greenery vines were not in season in June, which ultimately worked in our favor to create a staircase installation that was immersive. Embracing the challenge of working with seasonal availability, we opted for hops, a flowering foliage typically used in beer-making. Paired with viburnum and expressive forsythia foliage, these elements adorned all three floors of the walkway. Upon entering the reception space, guests were greeted with escort cards creatively displayed on hooks once used by priests to drape their cloaks, adorned with ivy.
THE RECEPTION
Whimsical Japanese vines gracefully adorned the tables with a carefully selected mix of agrostemma, edible flowering arugula, allium and clematis. Each flower was arranged individually in bud vases, positioned at different heights to achieve a dynamic appearance. This intentional design aimed to elevate the rectangular tables, enhanced further by the presence of taper candles and decorative candlelight.
Round tables were decorated with centerpieces arranged in shallow hand-made ceramic bowls to achieve abundance. In these arrangements we incorporated larger focal flowers such as garden roses, strategically placing them towards the bottom, with lighter flowers atop to create a visual sense of airiness. Pillar candles illuminated the window sills, where greenery inspired by grounded meadows lined each corner, seamlessly connecting the greenery installation along the walkway to the ambiance of the reception space.
