Parrish art Museum Wedding: A sunkissed Modern Hamptons Affair Inspired by the Surrounding Landscape
• Water mill, NEW york
THE VISION
Inspired by the textural coastal grasses surrounding the Parrish Art Museum, we featured local varieties alongside Hydrangea to capture the Hamptons landscape. This earthy texture provided a stunning contrast to delicate blush, mauve and cream blooms—a palette that was feminine, whimsical, and distinctly modern—to perfectly realize the bride’s vision.

THE CEREMONY
The bride, wearing a voluminous custom Danielle Frankel gown, made the intentional choice to carry a petite, royally inspired bouquet that cascaded with delicate greenery vines. This beautiful contrast ensured the focus remained on the architecture of the dress. Her bridesmaids complemented this with striking single-variety bouquets, their colors perfectly coordinating with their attire, setting the tone for the day's blended aesthetic.
For the ceremony, we fused architectural modernity with wild, organic texture. A sleek modern steel chuppah was anchored by grounded arrangements inspired by a flowering meadow, providing the perfect textural counterpoint to the background's natural hedge of wild grasses. Down the aisle, groupings of arrangements were placed in thoughtful pairs, creating a substantial, immersive presence that culminated in a spectacular aisle entryway for this Hamptons celebration.
The foundation of this design was local, peak-season Panicle Hydrangea, providing elegant mauve and pink tones. We layered in local Lisianthus, known for its frilly petals, and scattered clusters of pink Nerine, which appeared like delicate starbursts. Finally, Sea Oat Grasses were purposefully woven throughout the design to capture the fleeting, golden-hour reflection, ensuring the ceremony felt both wild and utterly refined.
THE RECEPTION
The wedding reception unfolded beneath the Parrish Art Museum’s architectural overhang, capturing the glow of golden hour. This meticulously styled setting was designed by planner Laura Remmert, who anchored the space with textured beige linens, elegant oak-toned seating, and a chic whitewashed bar. We carried this earthy palette onto the tables, using Japanese porcelain as vessels. Centerpieces featured dense, tactile texture of Wax Flower combined with delicate, dancing elements of Princess Kate Clematis— a subtle nod to the bride’s first name. This beautiful flowering vine perfectly captured the soft mauve undertones of each flower. The overall effect— a thoughtful contrast of deep wood tones and cool chrome silverware— resulted in a tablescape that was both gracefully contemporary and profoundly grounded.
